Crank County Daredevils Featured In Metal Hammer

All we can say is THANK YOU to Metal Hammer Magazine for doing a write up on the Crank County Daredevils third album. The album may be two years old but that just goes to show that great music has a long shelf life and is continually listened to.

"CCD's self-titled third album blasts with razor sharp screams fused with Southern rock twangs for an original take on a classic genre. It's Calling Me slows things down several notches, but the rest of the the album drips with rowdy riffs and sludgy sleaze. The definition of raw, dirty rock n' roll"

Rusty Knuckles Music - Now Available At Amoeba Music, Best Independent Record Store

We are damn proud to let the masses know that our releases will soon be available in Amoeba Music. If you have yet to get to the best damn indie record store in the nation, then make travel plans along with a mighty long list of what you are after. Amoeba Music is our personal kryptonite. Walking through those doors at 10 am, upon opening,  was always the equivalent of either a nervous breakdown, if we forgot our list of albums to buy or pure heaven upon finding those hidden gems in the used racks. If only they served coffee there I think we might never have left.

Dear Amoeba, we need your holy grounds of music nerdom on the east coast, preferably Raleigh if you have to choose a great east coast city to open a new location.

Seize The Opportunity To Experience True Freedom

On September 11, this day of remembrance and everyday for that matter, look into the vast expanses of the United States and explore our borders, people and learn of our true history. We have every religion on earth within our borders, along with every nationality and best of all, just about every form of environment. From those tall peaks of Denali in Alaska to those beautiful marshes on the eastern shore of Maryland and Virginia, to the amazing Florida Keys, the United States will always be a place of opportunity, due to our diversity. Reflect on what makes this country great as a whole and reach out to those you care for. Most of all, seize the opportunity to experience true freedom. That particular notion, in our thoughts, is when you hit the open road and simply see where it takes you. Never know who ya might meet at the next gas stop or what new stories are to be made. Our greatest freedom is that we can choose our own path. don't ever take this for granted or let it be taken away.

"You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.”
- Henry David Thoreau

For all the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, you are in our thoughts.

Run What Ya Brung - Sept. 23rd - 24th, North Carolina

All right two wheeled brethren, time is short for the Wheels Through Time Museum, the road is long and the curves are winding. Join us for a bitchin' run to the hills and see the best damn museum for all that is motorcycle related. Our brethren from Ohio will be linking up with us in Maggie Valley, so join us in Raleigh for the start of the run on September 23rd or meet up with us along the road. There will be no chase trucks unless someone wants to join in for the party and isn't on two wheels, but we will not be providing one, nor are there any upfront costs or merch giveaways. This run is about riding, plain and simple.

On saturday morning we will roll over to the Wheels Through Time museum, which will soon be closing and spend a few hours there. After that, the Bootleggers Car Club is putting on one hell of a shindig in Black Mountain, NC with a ride in car and bike show along with headlining bands the Flat Tires, Southbound Turnaround and many more. Hit us up on facebook or send an email as this is gonna be a damn cool run. Leave the bullshit at home and get the bikes tuned as some areas will be quite remote. The run could be five people or fifty, we don't really care as those that will be hitting the road already know how good these routes are.
