Wrasslin is just one of those things, that is either in your blood or it ain't. It's that simple and that poetically elegant. Once again I get to blame my older brother for our zeal and enthusiasm for all that is the squared circle. Also thanks for Jeff Clayton for posting up this link to Memphis Heat, as I hadn't even heard about it yet.
When it comes time to go back to old wrestling, it doesn't get any better than seeing old matches such as these. Everyone can talk trash on wrestling but damn if these dudes weren't showmen and athletes, first and foremost. Plus talk trash to a 6'5" and 300 lb dude and see where it gets ya brother. Thanks to whoever got the ball rolling to make a film like this possible. We need all of the underground films to eventually resurface and for it all to be documented. Personal fave of that era are some of the old and truly bloody matches between the American Dream Dusty Rhodes and The Iron Sheik.
