Whiskeydick - The Bastard Sons Of Texas, Album Pre-order!
At
the lonesome crossroads where country and metal intersect, stand two
swaggering badasses holding acoustic guitars. They're not interested in
your soul they have plenty of soul already. Cult
favorites WhiskeyDick blow minds with a double barrel blast of
dreadnaught shredding and hillbilly bellowing that makes you want to
knock back a shot, stand up tall, and holler "Oh-hell-yeehaw!"
The
Fort Worth duo carry on the Texas traditions of super-powered guitar
slinging and clever songwriting that make lone star music a worldwide
curiosity, except Reverend Johnson will remind you more of Dimebag
Darrell than Billy Gibbons and Fritz remains more lyrically akin to
David Allen Coe than Robert Earl Keen.

belt buckle is a limited edition and only available with the album

Need Some Great Music Advice, Listen To Steve Vai on Renman Music & Business Youtube Channel
Often while working when I can also listen to music or podcasts. Many
times I listen to TED talks and been lately listening to the channel
Renman Music & Business on youtube. He has a great conversation with
Steve Vai about the music industry and how to create your own path.
Stoked to hear that Steve Vai is DIY as it comes and has some sound
wisdom. Make life happen and quit waiting for others to do it for you.
Creating new items is just something we wake up pondering over. It could be a new tshirt design, album cover, a belt buckle or maybe a new style of motorcycle bag. Whatever it may be, we labor for hours thinking everything through and thinking on what might be a great new product. Order one of our custom belt buckles from our Etsy store
Order Motobunny's new album Check out the review on Blurt Magazine "There aren’t too many Iggy Pop-influenced pop/punk bands out there
with a full-time keytarist and co-frontwomen, but Motobunny somehow
manage to make it work. It would be easy to dismiss the band as a novelty
if they didn’t have the songs to back it up, but as their self-titled
debut proves, they’ve got about a dozen. The band was formed backstage at an Iggy gig a few years ago, when
members from The Wooly Bandits and The Love Me Knots decided to merge.
Collectively, the members have shared the stages with everyone from
Nirvana and The Damned to Pearl Jam and X, but their album has a much
more glam-punk vibe to it. From the Joan Jett-like rocker “Shake Me” to
the just what it sounds like track “My Boyfriend is a Ghost” the band is
distorted guitars with plenty of synths and hooks. There are a few weaker tracks here and there, but ultimately, the record is an experiment in glitter and grease that ends well.
Bummed that an artist can't tour or put out new music fast enough? Nothing in this world is free and now that pirated music has shifted to streaming music and online links are continually flooded with new bands, how do you cut through the clutter and achieve any form of success? Dare to be different and start with a business plan, paired with your art.
Rory Kelly Has A Featured Headlining Set At The Hot Springs, NC Motorcycle Rally
If you are in the western Carolina's this weekend, check out Rory
Kelly's set at the Hot Springs Rally. Should be a good ride in bike show
and some damn quality music on hand.
Making anything from scratch requires a lot of preparation and an immense amount of research. A good while back, we got the itch to start creating our own line of belt buckles. After purchasing a really cool heavyweight bronze buckle from a street vendor in Seattle, I was looking at the design and kept thinking I can do this. That simple notion, sent me on a vast research quest reading upon lost wax casting, sand casting, metal etching and also machining metals in a variety of ways.
"One could get lost in the family tree that has
sprouted Motobunny so let's just summarize: members of The Love Me Nots
and The Woolly Bandits have combined to produce a double frontwoman glam
meets garage meets rockabilly meets pop band that's as hard to resist
as they are to define. Legend has it that the band got together after
meeting up at an Iggy Pop concert, and their sound reflects it. "Shake
Me" and "Let's Go Out" are as catchy as any Top 40 Taylor Swift hit, but
with a Motley Crue flair. When Gwen Stefani took a break from No Doubt
and became a pop star, that's kind of what Motobunny feels like -- like
some rock 'n' roll chicks who wanted to get their Dance on.
Motorcycle runs are a place where good times are to be had and ridin' bro's can be met that will be with ya for years to come. Certain events always bring together everyone and when it is a mission to hit the road and to be a part of an event with epic riding territory, it makes for an even better memory. Glad to see the folks out west had another great El Diablo Run. 2015 El Diablo Run from Biltwell Inc. on Vimeo.
Diesel Motorcycle, Being Started and Built Around A Kubota Engine And Custom Frame From Kraft Tech
Stumbling around a good motorcycle event is all about people watching and also catching some of the great rides that show up. One particular motorcycle that got a lot of attention was this custom built bike, from Dethmachine Fabrication, which just happens to be powered by a Kubota diesel engine. Quite the marvel of engineering and everything seems to fit well together stylistically. Kudos to breaking new territory and for the amazing machining on this bike.
Building A Guitar Strap and Belt Rack From Scrap Metal And Reclaimed Wood
If you are going to be doing any type of trade shows or events for your company, having a unique look to your display is paramount. I learned early on that having a folding table with a drape cloth can work well, but it just didn't convey the message that I wanted to stand behind. We spend a great deal of time crafting great merchandise and working with many bands on truly unique items, so for our booth at events we want to stand out. Along with having unique show furniture I wanted something that would fit the vibe of our brand and had to be easy to break down, be a work horse of an item and to be stout in order for it last for years to come.

Led by dual singers Christa Collins and Nicole Laurrene, the band’s
aesthetic has as much to do with Laurrene’s Michigan rock roots as the
surf sounds and pounding percussion of LA’s punk and garage scenes.
Rarely does a rock band present with two such well-matched, intense
vocalists, but the rest of Motobunny keep up easily, ripping through
songs straight out of a Tarantino film.
Get Into The Musical Mind of Matt Pike Of High On Fire
"Throughout 2014, MXR has been celebrating 40 years of innovation with a series of mini documentary videos covering its history as well as the personal stories of the lives and music it affected.
This episode focuses on long time MXR user Matt Pike—guitarist for High On Fire and Sleep—and his hard work and determination to follow his calling to be a musician.
MXR is honored to be a part of the pedal board of guitarists such as Matt, whose sound owes both to past influences as well as his own constant experimentation, and whose career has been tested by and survived the rigors of the road."
Off Road Free Riding By Kris Foster In British Columbia
Being out of control on a dirt bike can be equivalent to the fine line of being absolutely in touch with your surrounding environment. If you have ever just blazed across open pasture and jumped or wheelied anything in site, then you have an inclination how technical and badass Kris Foster's riding style is. Absolute respect for his skills on a two wheeled machine and the balls to keep rollin' on some steep inclines and jumps that would make most just squeamish.
"Motobunny, not to be confused with Motorhead, Motorhoney or Motorsister, is an energetic rock & roll band led by the dual vocal powerhouses Christa Collins and Nicole Laurrene. Not since Louise Post and Nina Gordon of Veruca Salt has there been such a remarkable pairing for lead singers.
Christa Collins has performed and recorded with Little Richard, and Sky Saxon, just to name a couple. She currently fronts LA garage act The Woolly Bandits; became an “X Factor USA” Top 8 finalist; and has appeared in several films. Nicole Laurenne was an award-winning classical pianist as a teen; has been named Arizona Republic’s “Best Frontperson”; and currently fronts both the Love Me Nots and electrofuzz duo Zero Zero.
Guitarist Michael Johnny Walker is on Phoenix New Times’ list of the Top 10 Phoenix Guitarists; founded and currently performs with The Love Me Nots; is featured in Fender Guitar’s “Soul of Tone” film with Dweezil Zappa; and both produces and performs with Zero Zero. Bassist Rik Collins has toured and recorded extensively with legendary garage rock act The Seeds before founding and performing with The Woolly Bandits.
For their self-titled debut, the quartet pulled out all the stops making their way to Detroit to record a dozen songs with Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Electric Six, Dirtbombs) and had the album mixed by Bob Hoag (The Format, Deer in The Headlights, Ataris), and mastered by Jason Livermore (Rise Against).
Everything Motobunny did to make this record has paid off in spades. It is fun, it is danceable and has songs filled with hooks which will bury themselves in your psyche and have you singing along without a care in the world. Their talent and experience pays off as well, as the band comes off remarkably tight for just their first album together while being very polished, thanks in part to the engineering crew.
At times Motobunny sound like a new wave ’80s band and will have your ass shaking with songs like “Let’s Go Out”; then they can get dark and sleazy on tracks like “Drown.” “Apocalypse Twist” is a balls-out rocker, and the album closer “I Warned You” is a heartbreak ballad of sorts. These are just a smattering of various sounds Motobunny brings you, and they make them all work very well together.
With band members having many irons in the fire, let’s hope Motobunny isn’t just a one-off project, because this debut album leaves you wanting more."

Spalding Executive 8 Iron Golf Club Belt Buckle, made by Rusty Knuckles
Coming up with new ideas on a consistent basis can be tough. One thing that we do consistently though to recharge the batteries is to just wander around at vintage stores, antique markets and online. In doing so, we find ourselves checking out items that were created in the not so distant past and were meant to have a shelf life a bit longer, maybe than the intended user. We stumbled across a huge stash of old golf clubs recently and being the non golfers that we are, didn't know quite what to make of them. After examining the clubs though, the ol' brain kicked into high gear and thought, hmmmm... what if. Next thing ya know, the grinder is out, the sanding machine is turned on and new life is brought to something old and discarded.
Peewee Moore Launches Pre-sales On His New Album - American Outlaw
Let
the countdown begin, until one of the great honky tonk albums of 2015
will be available for your listenin' pleasure. Peewee Moore about to
unleash one hard drivin' and drinkin' sonic brew of real country music,
that will be as thick as the humidity hangin' in the air on a warm
southern summer night. The week of July 14th the album will be shipping
and available for download. The album is 16 tracks full of atmosphere,
spirit and vibrancy that walks to the beat of it's own drum, leaving the
listener to salivate for the next cold beer and one more track. The
cure is to put this album on repeat, sit back on the tailgate and let
the tunes roll on.
"There is something that is raw, and lovely about a live
recording, with no fluff added. Stevie Tombstone hits a great cord with
this sampling. It doesn't hurt that it includes one of my favorite
songs, of his 'Nuthin Sweet About 16', love this version. With hints of
Cash, Bluegrass, and Steve Earle, you get the drift of the road you will
go down, and you will def want to turn around and go back for more.
You get the feeling that you are there at the show, in an intimate
setting. 'Murder City Breakdown', has a bit of swing to it, straight
out of Austin. Stevie has a gift for writing songs that hit ya in ya
core, that you can relate to. 'Lucky', tells the story of how one is
lucky to be alive, and lucky to not be in jail, who can't relate to
that? If you love a good tune, from a good storyteller, do yourself a
favor, give this cd a listen. Download a song, or two, or seven...hell
save ya self a buck, and buy the whole damn thing. You will thank me, and
for that, you are welcome."
New Tshirt Design For Outalw Country Artist Peewee Moore
Creating new artwork for a shirt design and to represent a band can be quite the challenge. Many times, we postulate on ideas for months at a time and then an idea will work it's way out onto the paper. We have been thinking on a solid design for the release of country artist Peewee Moore's new album for quite some time now. After some research and a lot of sketches, we have come up with our first design for him and hope to see it far and wide. Catch up on all things Peewee Moore
