"We're doing a few Texas dates this week with our main man Puppy on the drums before the big tour starts. We'll also be hanging with our buddies Liz and Jared from Urban Pioneers this week, taping for a High On The Hog episode. 

Then, in April, our pal Joe Bent (White Trash Blues Revival/Left Lane Cruiser) will be in the drummer seat for the Spring Fling Detour 2017! Big Husky Burnette 2017 News!

Hey folks, Husky Burnette has lots of upcoming music and  tour trash to talk about, so let's get started...

More shows, more tours!

After taking a break from playing so much, and moving to the great state of Colorado, Husky Burnette is back at it!

He has a handful of gigs coming up around Northeast Colorado, until mid March; a short run through Texas in late March; and a tour from April-June, around the Midwest/East Coast!

In music news!

Husky Burnette is planning to release a new single called, "Honey Child".

It's a duet Caroline and Husky wrote, and they're extremely excited to get it out. Look for it soon!

Husky Burnette has also been writing new material for a new album! He will hit the studio in Pittsburgh very soon. Look for the new album on Rusty Knuckles!

Husky is also recording  a split 12" LP, with speed-rockin' pals "Six Speed Kill!." They're collaborating on a song, Whiskey Trippin', full of dirty rock n roll,  slide guitar, and distortion explosions! They are all  damn excited about this project! More details to come as they hammer it out.

Best I Can is a fictional tune about the age old subject in Blues about having big women, ugly women, etc. 

Butter My Cornbread is straight up about getting it on. Nothing more, nothing else. Just sweating it out! 

Skinny Woman is an RL Burnside tune I've been playing since I started this solo thing. 

So Doggone Lonesome is a Johnny Cash cover. We worked it up as one of our 3 songs to play at a Johnny Cash Birthday Bash one year and we dug it so much that we wanted it recorded."

So you are here because you want more info on what exactly is Freedom Road? Well dear friends, this is an action packed weekend on September 26th that has two adventures or they can be combined into one. For all the two wheeled brethren in the Mid Atlantic, Freedom Road is a bike run from Ocean View in the Norfolk, Virginia area to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that will cut straight up highway 13 through the eastern shore of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. The bike run is 300 miles of highway, back country roads and coastal riding that will leave a smile for miles. 

Freedom Road is set for September 26th! Yes, traffic will be heavy around central Philadelphia, but nothing else effects the event. The Compound, where shenanigans will be going off, is well out of the Pope zone in the downtown Philly area. But do plan your routes and travel times in advance. So go early and come for the rowdiness. For area travel, just check out 6abc.com for all the streets that will be closed down. Interstate 95 will be thick, but the exits will be open that will drop ya right off at the compound or plan to flank the area from local streets. Either way, we are bringin' one hell of a night to Philadelphia!

"Husky Burnette re-releases great 2013 collection—with some special extras

Sometime in late fall or early winter of 2013, Husky Burnette released the album Tales from East End Boulevard. It was a particularly powerful collection of tunes, prompting at least one eerily prescient reviewer to dub it, “The album that will be remembered for making Husky Burnette.” 

Now, a little over a year and a half later, the album is being re-released by the Rusty Knuckles record label with four new bonus tracks in preparation for the fall “Tales Revisited Tour.” The re-release and the tour are only the precursors to Burnette’s latest, greatest effort to date, Ain’t Nothin’ But A Revival, scheduled for release in mid-November.
