Who Digs Antiseen, Phil Anselmo Of Course
The almighty Down rocked the Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte several months back and it was one of those shows that is forever burned in your mind. Every track, every note and every one of us was moving in that room to the swampy groove that only Down can provide. Was damn stoked to hear Phil giving Jeff Clayton of Antiseen shout out after shout out. Clayton is a stalwart in the punk rock community and for great reason. His dedication to the craft is without compromise. We are honored to work with all the bands on Rusty Knuckles Music and humbly thank Jeff, Joe, John and Phil for allowing us to work with them. Appreciate ya fellas!

Welcome to Rusty Knuckles Music, Carolina Still

| Welcome to Rusty Knuckles Music - Carolina Still, photo by Shane Deruise © 2012 |
There are many forms of music that make the body move and gyrate to the sounds around them, but few resonate with southern Americana culture the way Carolina Still does. Their grass roots sound is infectious and worn in from years of playing a variety of music styles. We are damn proud to be working with the fellas and stoked they will be recording the new album with J.B. Beverley and Buck Thrailkill over at Rebel Roots Studio. If you are looking for Americana story tellers that will give you a shit eatin' grin within a few minutes look no further. Welcome to the team fellas!
"Carolina Still is an acoustic band with a new sound and an old-time feel.
They will take you down on the farm, out into the tobacco fields, and
down a dirt road with a trunk full of 'shine; you never know where they
might take you. One thing's for sure, you will be schooled in southern
American culture after listening to their music.
They blend musical styles such as old-time, bluegrass,
country, blues, rockabilly, punk, and many more. Their sound is deeply
rooted in traditional music but is delivered with a more progressive
edge and a great amount of energy.
The musicians that create this sound are: singer/songwriter,
banjo picker, & guitarist J. Alan Casey. Adam Jones on the upright
bass. Robert Norman on vocals, guitar, and fiddle, and Billy Smith on
vocals and drums."

Hellbound Glory Denied Being Part Of Pandora
Hey folks, we could use some help. The biggest streaming radio station on the planet has denied Hellbound Glory from being uploaded into their "Music Genome Project". Is it a conspiracy? Is it a retaliation by NashVegas corporate radio to keep real country off the pop country radar? Maybe, it's just that once again our favorite scumbag country outfit has to defy the conventional ways of being heard and needs the dedicated and true country music fans to come out in support. We don't need Pandora in the long haul but it would be great for fans far and wide to have access to the music they want to hear.
With the big tour Hellbound Glory is about to embark upon this week and carry them all over the country, come out in support. For all tour listings just check on here or their Facebook page as that is constantly updated.

Broadside Basement Sessions with Jay Berndt have arrived!!
Here at Rusty Knuckles, we're very pleased to introduce the first clip from the Broadside Basement Sessions!! Now the "Broadside Basement Sessions" is a video series of collaborations with fellow musicians and friends on original music and other favorite songs. The songs are briefly rehearsed and then recorded in hi-definition video and multi-track audio at Jay's Moto Destructo Studios.
For this session Jay was joined by his former Brimstone Assembly bandmate, Jim Almo on drums... Mike Laurello on keyboards.. (Both of whom you can hear on Sad Bastard Songs)..... former Bass player for the Amazing Royal Crowns, Jack Hanlon on upright... And singer/songwriter Chris Fullerton on acoustic guitar and vocals.
This first clip, "Five Empty Chambers" is a brand new song by Jay and was taken from the first session that was recorded on 12/12/10. We'll be releasing the full episode in the upcoming weeks. This project already has a lot of folks talking and we're looking forward to seeing what else Jay has rolled up his sleeve.
Enjoy!
