Ace Corner At Barber 2012 Will Be The Cafe Racer Summit

Discovery Channel and Cafe Racer TV has truly helped to expand the world of cafe racer styled bikes outside of niche circles. The best part is that they have done it the right way and many of the builders involved are down to earth and diehard riders. We honestly can't say enough good things about the folks involved and fortune has shined on us as well, as Reno Divorce and the Flat Tires have been feature music on the show. Huge thanks to Ben with the Cigar Store Indians and especially Dime City Cycles for always keeping us in the loop.

Do yourself a favor and get yer asses to the Ace Corner at Barber 2012. Looks to be a damn good time. Link over to Dime City Cycles for the original post.

Learn more about Barber Motorsports Park

The Ace Corner at Barber 2012 will be one of memory with so many great events lined up at one location
"Well folks, since our Cafe Racer themed area last year had such an overwhelmingly positive response, we decided to kick it up a notch and re-join forces with our friends across the pond, Ace Cafe, as well as The Barber Motorsports Park, to bring you the “event within the event” at this years 8th annual Barber Vintage Festival. That’s right, it’s official, Ace Corner has landed at Barber!

The weekend of October 12th we’re asking you to sit back, relax and watch the races from the best seat in the house (TURN 17) at the only place you can grab a cold beer in the entire Barber Motorsports Park. Enter your bike and take in the sights from the ride-in bike show, make a last minute entry to win the custom CB750 we built in partnership with Iron & Air Magazine and visit with dozens of other builders and industry persons.

Checkout the map below, there really isn’t a better place to watch the races from!

Built in partnership between Ace Cafe London and Dime City Cycles, Ace Corner Barber is an area dedicated to Cafe Racers, be they made of steel or flesh and bone. In short, Ace Corner Barber is a celebration of the timeless teeth chattering, soul shaking speed machines that hailed the streets of London in the 50’s and 60’s and their riders and we’re asking you to come hang with us for the weekend. Digg it?

Here’s the highlights to expect over the weekend:
- Ace Corner Grill, featuring “Fish & Chips”, tea, burgers & beverages, including beer & wine, available for purchase
- Dime City Cycles / Iron & Air Magazine CB750 giveaway along with other bikes, parts and swag on display

Right about now you’re asking – “How do I get tickets to this meca of all things fast and old?” Well, it’s pretty easy, just follow [THIS LINK] over to the Barber tickets page and purchase either an upgrade, if you already have general admission tickets for the festival, or a full pass which includes Ace Corner and general admission.

Oh, and be sure to head on over to the Ace Corner Microsite at http://www.acecornerbarber.com/ which is being managed by our friends over at Iron and Air for updates as we get closer to the event!

More photos from Dime City Cycles Open House

To say that we had a great time down in Largo with all the folks involved with Cafe Racer TV, Dime City Cycles, Lowside Magazine, Ace Cafe London, Biker Metric and Karnage Kustomz is an understatement. Here are a few more photos and some video footage from a local tv station in Tampa, FL.

Dime City Cycles Grand Opening Party

Over the weekend we drove the 1400 mile round trip to get down to sunny south Florida to hang out and represent our ideals at the Dime City Cycles grand opening party. It was done with a quickness and earlier in the week we had to score a new vehicle for all the shows this year, but we pulled it off.

Getting down to the deep south and being able to finally meet up with a lot of folks that we only know from linking up online, made it all worth while. Whether it was the monsoon rain that invaded the party early in the day, our 20 riders deep run around Largo and Clearwater filming for season 2 of Discovery Channel's "Cafe Racer TV" or just hanging out at the party with several hundred new friends, we can't thank Herm and Jason enough for throwing a great shindig. Not one too cool mofo in the bunch and damn was that refreshing. Everyone in the pack was a rider and rode solid together, which was also a rarity and welcome sight.

Instead of cramming all the evidence we have of the good times into one huge post, we will do postings for each group of folks to really show ya what they have going on. Look forward to reading about Dime City Cycles, Lowside Syndicate, Karnage Kustomz, Loser Machine, Ace Cafe London and quite a few more. Here are a few photos to show whats coming up.

Ace Cafe Heads To The USA

Check out this write up for the fellas over at Dime City Cycles along with Ace Cafe and Cafe Racer TV. If ya haven't heard about the blowout shindig down in Tampa, FL next weekend on May 14th, then clue yourself in. Read about the event from the post over on BikeExif.com

"EXCLUSIVE Some great news for café racer fans Stateside: the legendary British Ace Cafe is setting up shop next year in the USA. Ten new outlets are planned, and arrangements for the first one are close to being finalized. If you can’t wait for that, then you can get a taste of the Ace Cafe vibe by heading to the Dime City Cycles grand opening event in Tampa, Florida on Saturday 14 May: a temporary Ace Cafe will be erected for the duration of the celebration, stocked with classic motorcycling memorabilia. Ace Cafe boss Mark Wilsmore (above) will be flying in to join Dime City’s Jason Michaels and Herm Narciso on the day, and helping to judge the vintage ride-in bike show. (We’ll be there too—in spirit—because Bike EXIF is sponsoring the Best In Class award.)

“We see the introduction of Ace Cafe to North America as a huge opportunity to help keep the history alive for younger generations to experience,” says Jason Michaels. “We are at the beginning of an authentic garage revival in the American motorcycle industry and the Ace will provide the much needed additional fuel to help us all reach the ton.” If you’re in the south-western States, mark the Dime City opening in your diary. With the cameras of HD Theater’s Cafe Racer TV in attendance too, it’s shaping up to be a helluva party."
