For all you die hard outlaw country fans out there, ya gotta check out Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges. Not only does he become a true country singer, but damn if he doesn't make Bad Blake come to life. Truly an unforgettable role and holy hell if Colin Farrell doesn't deliver in a twang you would think was born straight outta the south. Damn good movie and makes me psyched that we will be on the road a bit this summer with up and coming scumbag country rockers Hellbound Glory. Stay tuned for those dates with Crank County Daredevils.

Uptown NOLA Saints Celebration
Found this video over on the Humid Being's site. I know that Grandma Jean is proud that her beloved Saints finally pulled off the victory and hopefully will help bring even more spirit back to a city that needs all the help it can get. Geaux Saints.

Road Devils Car Club - Basel, Switzerland
Life is not about the destination, but the journey. Case in point, this is Marcel from Basel, Switzerland and he is the bass player for the up and coming band named Snakebone. He is also a member of the Road Devils Car Club in Europe and a solid wrench on cars and bikes. He is one of those people that you meet on the road, swap stories and end up hanging out for hours upon end. Its folks like this that are the fabric of Rusty Knuckles, those that thrive on the fringe and walk to the beat of their own drum. See ya on tour in November hombre!

Besides it being a great mag, there is a solid write up on the album and they gave us a shout out as well, hells yeah! See yal on the Big Mountain Run in May!

Miniature Engines
Ok, after seeing the working knucklehead I am just plain fascinated by the craftsmanship and engineering of these miniature engines. So have a look at a few more and then look at that ol' quarter sittin' right below them. Hows that for scale, hahah? If you go onto youtube there are a slew of working engines as well. Damn amazing!

Knucklehead - Miniature Model
Found these photos from another blog and just had to share them. Craftsmanship comes in many forms whether it be from an electrician, carpenter, welder, mason or in this case a machinist. To appreciate detail and engineering prowess, have a look at the amazing talents of Jerry Keiffer. To say this took some time to complete is an understatement. Would be really interesting to see his schematics for scaling down all the pieces and how he worked it all out on paper. Bravo!

Vintage Hauling
Got an email from my buddy Josh over at Wrench Works about some great vintage photos of old cars and trucks on transport trailers. These are some killer photos and what I actually really dig are the old trailers themselves. The rigs have such a style and feel as if they had to look just as good as the cars and trucks they were hauling. Dig it!

How to Cuss in French
While on the road and hearing new dialects and languages, that I don't get to hear everyday, I decided to do what every biker should do, learn how to communicate properly with the locals. Here is a lesson from one of my French compadre's in the band the Dirty Virgin's. Thanks Fellas, I am sure it will be of great use!
How To Cross A River In Colombia
Having confidence in yourself and your riding skills is paramount to becoming a great rider but there are times when you gotta have some balls. Not sure on the exact story of this video clip but I am guessing that it was the only road through the mountains. This rider has nerves of steel and confidence handed down from the gods of the biker heavens. Bravo amigo, ride safe!

Mayhem - Pure Metal Conviction
Gotta say thanks to my pal Dawes for finally posting at least one of the photos from a metal show back in 1998 that became a high water mark for pure metal conviction. Mayhem are one of the original "Black Metal" bands and have a cult following due to the ferociousness of their music along with their disdain for all that is deemed holy. Whether you dig them or not, they command respect and seeing them in a small sweaty club back in Frisco was true baptism by fire. Whether it was the crowd being whipped into a frenzy from the machine gun guitars or the severed cow heads on spikes, it was a night this metal head will never forget. Go and dig into their sordid history for a lesson on the depths that the metal scene in northern Europe was exploring back in the early to mid nineties.
