RUSTYMETRIC Is Launching Monday - 8.1.11

Surely you have seen magazines getting slimmer and slimmer and wondering what the hell happened. Nope, don't blame this one on Al Gore or any other environmentalist. The basic fact is that more can be done online for cheaper and be updated readily. For all intensive purposes print magazines will be dead in a few years and so will most music outlets besides streaming media. There will be even smaller quantities of both printed magazines and music, while online interactivity through e-books, websites and streaming media will grow exponentially. We still love our printed magazines but the medium just can't keep up with online news which outdates mags instantly. We know you will be stoked with RUSTYMETRIC as it's been a long time coming and content is bursting at the seams from worldwide contributors. Also, the new digital magazine is the perfect outlet to focus on new music. So to answer a few folks questions, each issue will come with FREE Mp3s and from a variety of sounds.

It has been over six months in the making, from lengthy phone calls, random emails, trading photos and recruiting an all star team to join us but damn if you won't be stoked. Rusty Metric is going to change the way things are done by doing one thing amazingly well. That is, bringing you the interviews and stories of character driven individuals who continually redefine their craft. It is easy to build or create an inanimate object, but to give it soul, now that is a whole other level of craftsmanship.

We think you should enjoy the weekend, so we will be indulging you with the first cover. Over the next two weeks we will be revealing all the folks involved to bring you a game changing digital magazine.

Rusty Metric - The Custom Counter-Culture

Here is another project that we have been keeping under wraps until we could get functionality working to the utmost. Folks, let's just admit it right now, for most intensive research purposes and future direction of things to come, magazines are dead. They will continue to be printed but in even smaller quantities with less interesting content as the news and updates will more readily come from online sites that are consistently updated. If you think this idea is crazy talk, well dig into advertising figures along with web traffic data, its quite amazing and in all reality points to the future.

We whole heartedly embrace the online magazine, or in better terms it is a content portal, plain and simple. After numerous emails, too many phone calls, many beers and calling bullshit on most of what folks think is good, bad and ugly. The infamous silver tongued Trent Rekker of BikerMetric.com and good ol' Rusty Knuckles have decided to join forces in drum roll please...Rusty Metric.

What we have in our arsenal is quite amazing and that being our deep quiver of friends, mechanics, scumbags, fabricators, story tellers, vagabonds, musicians and folks on both sides of the mechanical coin who get what counter-culture truly is. Forget about biker or hot rod porn as in just the hero shots of cool rides, that is just not enough to peak interests anymore. Rusty Metric is digging deep and getting into the story about how something was created and why a certain metal object has just as much soul as James Brown. Look for the amazing photography work of Lance Dawes, music articles from across the outlaw country and rock n' roll spectrum and of course, well versed prose from editor du jour Trent Rekker.

In a few weeks the full site will be launched along with a downloadable magazine for a incredibly low price of just one buck. Yes, you heard us. It's going to cost $1 in US American currency and can be downloaded world wide. We will also be adding streaming music and video to really up the ante. If you dig the music and character of Rusty Knuckles along with the depth and soul of Biker Metric, you just found the best damn watering hole online. Biker Metric and Rusty Knuckles combined together are looking to start a revolution in such a simple way, we are going to bring the content you want to see and hear. See ya at the next fill up...

Let JB Beverly take you on a great ride for this launch...

New Falcon Black Vincent Motorcycle Photos and...Rusty Metric

Read below the write up from the Editor of a new project called "Rusty Metric". We think yall will be quite intrigued... Much more comin' at ya in the coming weeks.

"you read it right, mofos. i have an in-depth interview with ian and amaryllis from falcon motorcycles coming at you. i suggest you brush your face and wash your teeth afterward or call a porn producer.

you've read my interviews. they have nothing on this one. you all have questions. i asked them and have the answers. it took six months, motherfuckers. it was trust hard fought for and i'm excited to meet them in september. don't think it's a puff piece, either. that's why it took six months.

now, you might believe i am full of shit. i am 'cause i usually poop in the morning and it's past midnight, but that isn't the point. unless i squeeze just right. here is your proof:

what the hell is RUSTYMETRIC and who the fuck is lance dawes? and how come i haven't seen this picture somewhere else online by now?

lance is a kickass photographer. RUSTYMETRIC is the online magazine my partner rusty knuckles and i will be launching soon to freak you out. and you haven't seen that pic because lance is our man and falcon gave him entrance into their magical realm.

it's exclusive. motherfuckers.

the dns servers for RM will be working tomorrow. not now. now is me telling you my world domination scheme is one step closer to, um... WORLD DOMINATION.

in addition to the incredibly revealing interview with the folks at falcon, there are other columns filled with such things that you cannot imagine and all of it is coming in the first issue of RUSTYMETRIC. the best part is that we're doing it digital, not in print. finger that out and save a tree, your money, and take your laptop to the can more often.

the pix will be in color. that falcon black - jesus forgive my soul and let me live - is coming in color. in person, it is not something you can understand until you are there in the room, looking at it up close, touching the machine and it's infinite custom fabs on it saying "i haven't had that much to drink, come on!"

let me ride it!

now, pretend you are a man. look in the mirror, then look back at bikerMetric, then back in the mirror. bikerMetric is only a facade for an evil world domination scheme and it smells like a man on a motorcycle. diving into a pool. eating cheese from a pitchfork. fucking your woman because you're too busy looking at bikerMetric."
